Post-War Kage Summit

Mifune definitely looked older, but his manner as he assumed the head of the room had lost none of its dignity. “Thank you all for coming to this meeting of the six Kages. This meeting has been arranged by the Hokage, so he shall be the first to speak.”

Naruto had been waiting for the summons, and stood to his feet. “Well… guess I’ll just start by reminding everyone what we’re here for.” He gave a nervous little chuckle. * Look at Gaara. At least HE doesn’t want to kill you. * “Only a year ago, the Five Elemental Countries and the Iron Nations united to stand against Madara and the threat of his Moon’s Eye Plan, resulting in the Fourth Shinobi World War.” He made it a point to give a commiserating gaze around the room. * Don’t stare at the Mizukage, don’t stare at the Mizukage, don’t staaaaaare…* “All the nations, and all the villages, suffered greatly in that war. Suna lost many of its best shinobi, the Iron Country sacrificed its time-honored neutrality, and Kumo and Iwa both lost their Kages, even as the rigors of war forced Konoha’s own Hokage into early retirement. Many fought, and died, for the cause of peace.”

Nodding to Shikaku (it felt weird to have his friend’s dad as an advisor), Naruto took the scroll from him and spread it out on the table. “We are met here to discuss the treaty allowing for the formation of a sixth Hidden Village within the Elemental Countries.”

Given the view you have of the other person in the room, I don't think it's any mystery who the founder of the sixth Hidden Village is. I'm aware that several parts of this scenario are impossible, given current canon. The idea is that the ninja's dimensional adventure threw off the war, causing things to turn out differently.

Not very happy with this picture. I was forced to draw it in half the time I usually do, since I had some traveling this past week. I AM proud of myself for looking up the symbol for "Iron" and drawing it behind Mifune, but that's it. But for better or for worse, it's done, and so is the series. Thanks to all who read it and made it such a fun time.
